Malian armed forces announced significant advances in counterterrorism operations this week, confirming the elimination of around 100 armed combatants in coordinated strikes across northern regions. The targeted regions, Anfif and Tabrachat, witnessed intense military engagements on Tuesday, conducted in partnership with allied forces.

The official statement detailed the destruction of key militant assets, including six combat vehicles and a pickup truck, alongside 13 precision airstrikes that neutralized high-value targets. These operations specifically focused on dismantling networks linked to the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA), both designated as high-priority threats in the region.

In a follow-up announcement, Russian Africa Corps officials highlighted the strategic success of the missions, emphasizing the destruction and burning of multiple militant vehicles. Their statement confirmed the deployment of a reconnaissance drone that targeted a militant transport vehicle carrying ammunition and military equipment, further crippling operational capabilities.

The Malian military reiterated its commitment to sustaining the campaign against armed groups, vowing to continue operations with discipline and resolve.
