Ousmane Sonko and PASTEF inaugurate departmental headquarters in Linguère
The PASTEF-Les Patriotes party has successfully concluded an impactful 48-hour political outreach across the Jolof region. Delegations, spearheaded by party leader Ousmane Sonko and Minister of State Habib Sy, alongside numerous national executives and coalition allies, traversed all 19 communes within the Linguère department. Their extensive journey spanned from Dahra to Barkédji, encompassing key areas like Sagatta and Yang-Yang, demonstrating a robust field presence.
This deep immersion into the heart of Jolof showcased a significant demonstration of strength and local entrenchment. The itinerary was filled with respectful courtesy visits and productive discussions with the region’s revered religious and customary authorities. These engagements were complemented by strategic working sessions held with the party’s foundational structures, including youth, women, and executive committees.
Territorial networking and new departmental headquarters
Following this period of intense mobilization, the local branches of the party officially unveiled their strategic roadmap for the upcoming phase. A pivotal moment of this regional journey was the grand inauguration of PASTEF’s permanent departmental office. This landmark event also marked the official launch of the member card placement campaign, with the clear objective of strengthening the party’s territorial network through focused, grassroots engagement in the villages and neighborhoods throughout the department.
A compelling call for unity
In the wake of this internal restructuring and strategic expansion, local political leaders issued a solemn appeal for unity. This rallying call extends not only to long-standing militants and early sympathizers but also broadly invites political stakeholders from other formations who share a desire to contribute to the territorial development project championed by PASTEF.
