The Rassemblement des Houphouëtistes pour la Démocratie et la Paix (RHDP) in Mankono commune and sub-prefecture officially commenced its political season on July 17 and 18, 2026. This significant event centered on evaluating the outcomes of the 2025 elections, providing essential training for party members, and re-energizing its fundamental structures at the grassroots level.

Cissé Namory, the RHDP’s departmental secretary, whose political jurisdiction encompasses both the Mankono commune and sub-prefecture, reiterated the unwavering commitment of militants in the Béré region to fortify the ruling party.

He expressed immense satisfaction regarding the RHDP’s triumph in the most recent legislative elections within his political department, a victory secured by Deputy Salimata Fofana épouse Méité. However, Namory also voiced regret over instances of indiscipline among certain party members, suggesting that these behaviors had, at times, received backing from some party executives.

“We bear a responsibility for honesty towards our militants to safeguard the cohesion and effectiveness of our political endeavors,” he asserted, urging for enhanced discipline and solidarity within the RHDP ranks.

The political gathering was structured around two primary highlights. The initial day featured a comprehensive seminar focused on the theme: “Learning from the recent electoral process and charting the course for a new militant cycle.”

During this session, Professor Soro David, the RHDP’s deputy national secretary responsible for political structures, led a compelling conference titled “The National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030’s contribution to the Béré region’s progress.”

Professor Soro meticulously outlined the achievements realized across Béré through the PND 2021-2025, subsequently detailing the promising opportunities presented by the upcoming PND 2026-2030. “The Béré region has greatly benefited from the PND 2021-2025 and stands to gain even more with the PND 2026-2030,” he declared, highlighting numerous initiatives planned for the education, health, and infrastructure sectors.

He also commended the dedication of the region’s leaders and citizens who stand alongside President Alassane Ouattara, emphasizing that their active involvement serves as a crucial catalyst for Béré’s development and strengthens governmental actions throughout this part of Côte d’Ivoire.
