Senegal mourns loss of respected religious leader Serigne Abdou Bakhi Mbacké

Senegal’s political landscape is united in sorrow as Ousmane Sonko, President of the National Assembly, announced the death of Serigne Abdou Bakhi Mbacké. The respected khalife of the Khassim Mbacké family in Guinguinéo passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
