Cameroon’s Senate has completed final preparations for the June 2026 ordinary session, set to commence on June 9, 2026.
Under the leadership of Senate Secretary-General Gustave Léopold Ngane and accompanied by senior administrative staff, a comprehensive inspection of Senate facilities at the Economic and Social Council was conducted this morning, June 8, 2026.
The final walkthrough assessed the readiness of all critical infrastructure required for smooth parliamentary proceedings. The delegation meticulously examined conference halls, VIP reception areas, banquet facilities, and the main chamber where senators will convene throughout the session.
Following the inspection, the Secretary-General expressed full confidence in the operational readiness of all facilities. He confirmed that all logistical and technical preparations had been finalized to ensure a seamless session launch.
The June ordinary session, in line with parliamentary tradition, will primarily focus on budgetary discussions, strategic exchanges between the Upper House and the Supreme Audit Court, and thorough review and adoption of legislative proposals.
