Chad president concludes state visit to United Arab Emirates

President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno of Chad has returned to N’Djamena following an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, where he engaged in high-level diplomatic discussions with the UAE leadership.

Diplomatic exchanges in Abu Dhabi

During his visit, the Chadian head of state held two key meetings with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The first discussion took place at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, while the second meeting was hosted at the residence of President Déby Itno.

The talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Chad and the United Arab Emirates, exploring areas of mutual economic and security cooperation. Both leaders emphasized the importance of deepening ties in trade, investment, and regional stability.

Warm welcome upon return to Chad

Upon his arrival in N’Djamena, President Déby Itno was greeted by a high-level delegation including Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, several government ministers, the State Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency, the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Office, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, the Deputy Special Advisor, and the Mayor of N’Djamena.

The return marks the conclusion of a productive diplomatic mission that underscores Chad’s commitment to fostering strong international partnerships.
