Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé opened the second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, uniting over 700 investors to fuel the nation’s economic momentum.
The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group kicked off on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan, with Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé at the helm. The gathering brought together more than 700 investors from friendly nations, marking a pivotal moment in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic future.
« This session represents a fresh chapter in our investment-focused consultative efforts, designed to unlock private capital essential for driving our development ambitions, » declared Robert Beugré Mambé. « I’m delighted to see over 700 investors from across the globe joining us here today. »
The event drew top business leaders, investors, and private sector delegates to Abidjan, where the Prime Minister emphasized the forum’s role as a vital platform for collaboration with private stakeholders. He highlighted the shared vision needed to propel Côte d’Ivoire’s growth trajectory forward.
« Your commitment alongside us reflects the trust you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth prospects, » he told the audience. « You are key partners in turning our vision of a more competitive, job-creating economy into reality. Achieving this goal hinges on your willingness to invest. »
Mambé underscored the government’s strategy to position the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the nation’s economy—already resilient and adaptable—has maintained an average growth rate of 6.5% in recent years, solidifying its status as one of Africa’s most dynamic markets.
« This is an economy on the rise, offering unparalleled opportunities, » he stated. « Today’s discussions will fast-track investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030—particularly industrialization, local raw material processing to boost added value, and critical infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics. These investments will enhance competitiveness and appeal, while also prioritizing human capital, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy. »
The Prime Minister also reflected on the first day’s success, which focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, drawing over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.
Leading investors echoed their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s leadership. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), along with Mehdi Tazi, President of the African Committee of the French Business Movement (MEDEF), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030.
