Côte d’Ivoire rallies global investors to fuel its 2026-2030 growth blueprint
Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé opened the second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, bringing together over 700 international investors to accelerate the country’s economic transformation.
The second phase of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group kicked off in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire on July 9, 2026, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. This high-profile event focused on engaging private investors to drive the nation’s economic agenda forward.
“This marks a critical milestone in our consultation process, centered on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation,” declared Robert Beugré Mambé. “We are thrilled to welcome over 700 investors from friendly nations who have joined us to turn this development vision into reality.”
The session brought together business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who traveled to Abidjan in large numbers. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of this platform as both a dialogue forum and a strategic alignment space for shared development goals.
“Your commitment speaks volumes about the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory,” he told the audience. “As key partners, you play an instrumental role in building a more competitive economy that generates quality jobs. The success of this vision hinges on your active participation in driving private investment.”
Robert Beugré Mambé underscored the government’s resolve to position the private sector as the driving force behind economic transformation. He highlighted the nation’s proven resilience and adaptability, citing an average 6.5% GDP growth over recent years—a performance that places Côte d’Ivoire among Africa’s most dynamic economies.
“Today, you stand before a rapidly expanding market brimming with opportunities,” he stated. “This gathering will fast-track investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, particularly industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition. We are also focusing on developing critical infrastructure in transport, digital technology, and logistics to enhance our global competitiveness. Investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services will further propel us toward a more productive and inclusive economy.”
The Prime Minister noted that the first day of the Consultative Group, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, had already attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including the host nation.
In response, key investor representatives reaffirmed their backing for the government’s vision. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), alongside Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee at MEDEF France, and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), all expressed their readiness to contribute substantial financial commitments to the PND 2026-2030 initiative.
